Pikachu vs. Riachu

A timeless classic, however, I must disagree with the makers of the animated series of Pokémon on this discussion. I do not believe Pikachu could have beaten Riachu, no matter how much of this "love" was given from Ash to Pikachu. Riachu was obviously much more leveled than Pikachu, given the time it would've taken for Lt. Surge to have become a gym leader. And including the countless battles he had faced as a gym leader with Riachu, Riachu had obviously trained longer than Pikachu, who had fought about five or six (maybe less) battles at that time. A thunderstone could not have even helped such a helpless predicament. But then the writers of Pokémon came up with a horrible excuse to cover it, saying that Lt. Surge had evolved Riachu too soon, not allowing it to obtain Agility. Agility is not as great as it sounded in the TV series. In fact, it is a horrible ability. I recently gave Agility to my Mr. Mime. I wasn't very satisfied. It had lost to Agatha in a battle where he was against a Pokémon that was extremely weak when he began fighting, and he lost. I threw the Pokémon away as punishment. For these reasons, I must restate that
Pikachu could not have beaten Riachu in any attempt at all in the great
Thunder battle in Vermillion City and I strongly urge others to
understand the impossibility of what had happened in the battle.
