Racism among the NBA. Can't Post

This is a sports debate, intended for sports fans and viewers alike. If you don't like sports, please head elsewhere and take your nonsense with you, unless of course you have the good kind of nonsense. In that case, please stay.

Topic:
Do white referees call fouls on black players more often than white players?

I'm going to go ahead and say this. Black people are stupid.
I recently heard a case on ESPN regarding a claim that white referees call fouls on black players more than whites. Seriously, how longer are African Americans going to complain? Let's take a look at statistics. The NBA is currently about 80% dominantly black, with the other 20% Caucasian/Asian/Spanish. So logically, of course more fouls are going to be called on black players because the league is mostly black! It's absurd. A few of my friends claim that my point-of-view is shady on the subject, but I think it may be just enough to prove the pessimists out there wrong.

Racism happens in almost every sport. Not always towards black players.

Did you even read the thread? Or just the thread title? I'm trying to debunk the theory that white referees call fouls on black players more than whites.

That's pretty much my thinking, Pwnt. I can't really add anything other than, someone getting paid millions of dollars to go to practice and play basketball, don't complain about anything. Ever.

I planned on posting what you've already posted. A vast majority of the league's population is African American, so it's practically inevitable. If the calls were split down the middle (hypothetically), white people would be getting beaten around, considering the black to white ratio.

have you considered that a referee might have an easier time picking out fouls against the background due to the fact that they have black skin pigment?

Jump out of bed as soon as you hear the alarm clock!! You may also find it useful spending five minutes each morning saying to yourself "Every day in every way I am getting better and better."
