I just wanna collect one piece of information from you.

How long have you been playing Runescape?

Better question...

How long do you want to play runescape.

I think it's a matter of personal preference more than anything else..

Edit:You can't prove one game superior to another or inferior,it's all a mater of choice.

In most MMOs, the winner of a battle is usually not determined solely by whoever killed the most rats.

Don't you have to gain experience in all MMO's to get more levels, and therefore more skills? Generally, doesn't the person with the higher level/better equipment generally win the fight?

thats why I like the game I play

I can beat a charcter several levels higher then me if alot better gear if I can combo better (physical skill)
too bad the game I play is full of turkish cheaters

I make PK'ers because I prefer them to using my main account. Also, they're really cheap - if you die, you lose around 60K (provided you're 1 Defence). If I was PK'ing on my main account and I had decent armour on and I died, I'd lose over 2x that.

I'd die on my main account too, what with all the 1 Defence PK'ers out there. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

It's funny though.. If you make a reverse pure, with high def and moderate attack/ str, you can own the pures out there, because they won't be able to hit you.

Yeah you will... you'll have say 30 str and attack, and 65 def, you can still hit through their measley 1 defense. It's when a normal lvl 40 comes along you need to be afraid.

Make it easier on yourself and drop their attack and strength stats VIA curses. Use preyers to raise your ranged/magic when applicable and proceed to beat the crap outta said pure.

Re: [nadkicker69] Runescape: Why Pures? [In reply to] Can't Post

i played RSC cause i never liked rs2, so i will be talking about rsc.

In rsc, attack and strength brang up hp. so, having high attack and strength gave you health, so you didn't need defense.

for example: a person with 40atk, 1dfs, and 73str will be level 52 and have 62 hits. they can hit an 18.
a person with 40atk 40dfs and 55str is also level 53, has 47hp and can hit a 14.

so, 14+14+14=42 which leaves the pure with 20 hp and then he can eat. it would take 4 hits w/o eating to kill him. 18+18+18=54. that is 7hp over what the other person has. so, a pure would actually win. and with a str pot he can hit 20s, which 3 of those would make 60 and have 13 hp to spare. so in reality a pure usually wins when he has food, cause all he needs is a weapon, a few potions and maybe a ammy, so he can hold a lot of food.

In RSC, stats really didn't mean much after level 60. High levels meant nothing more than a number.

Remember the time in which level 20's easily killed level 60's? Trippy, wasn't it?

Pures are what keeps the Wilderness alive and running. Before no one thought of making pures. The wilderness was empty before pures came along because it was fun for them to KO the people who were dumb enough to go in the wilderness. Other people thought it was fun and made their own pures. Some mains were sick of pures and got strong enough to kill them.

Re: [nadkicker69] Runescape: Why Pures? [In reply to] Can't Post

For the following post you must know a couple things:

1. A Pure is an account with there HP (Hit Points) over their combat level.

2. Pures mainly existed in RS1, there are barely any "True" pures in rs2.

3. The definition of Pure now has no clear definition, we can thank the noobs for that (I mean what the [Expletive Deleted] is a iron pure?).

Anyway:

Back in RS1 before most of you played Rune Scape, Pures dominated the wild. Why? Because true pures would train there attack to 40 and be able to wield Rune Two-Hander swords (R2H) at level 13! This was hard to do but you can do some incredible damage at that low level and you could kill your opponent and hit high hits before you opponent could kill you.

Because of you high hp and your opponent not being able to hit above 4, you had no problem hitting through there armor because of your high attack and weapon power.

Another Pure was the "Tank Mage", which had high HP and trained defense and magic. The Tank Mage was able to wear full rune (except rune plate) at lvl 13! Combined with lvl 20 magic they would be lvl 15 and unstoppable. The Pure with the 2h had no chance.

Rangers allways sucked, end of story. (RS2 they match the "iron pure" in attack and hp power, im not sure why noobs have a hard time with them but I have no problem with them.)

Now Jagex made updates so you lvl up faster and true pures are nearly impossible to make.

Next time when someone calls themself a pure tell them: "STFU Noob your the reason why the word pure doesn't mean [Expletive Deleted] anymore."

;p.

Make a pure pure mage (with only magic levels) and then go fairly deep in the wilderness. Now slaughter people level 3 and under. This is why people play pures Smile

People make pures when they have nothing else to do and have money to spend. Personally, I pk for the amusement of seeing others die and laughing in their faces.

Why bother wasting time, money, and effort in a completely inferior character and then be proud of it?

I thought this was the whole point of Runescape? Whoever spent longer clicking on badly drawn monsters and shooting at targets that don't move, has higher numbers and therefore wins. You click on the other guy and sit there for 5 minutes watching a repetitive "battle" and when you see that lame "bow down and disappear" animation, you win. Everybody is an inferior character except for the one who played longest.

haha i lolled
