Cause I had to make my kitty avatar shrink for it to be usable and it took like 10 minutes to get it to the biggest size that I could.

Oh my god. I totally agree! I made an awesome .gif of Ed fighting Greed but it wont fit!! GRAWR! I scrapped the whole thing in frustration....
We need it to be around 50kb, then it would be perfect.

It can't be done, but at least in this case there's a practical reason for it other than "Gossamer is too useless for this to be possible." It can be changed but it would most likely result in the server running out of space.

Then allow for images to be hosted externall---
