Actually, some Texas school shooting was the largest, killing 16 people. But that was 1976, so not many people knew about it. Columbine was just bigger to us because it was more recent, and the motives were debated so often, because Conservatives kept trying to use Rachel Scott to turn it into a Christian story, even though Eric and Dylan were just in it for their little vengeance to the world. However, yes, the VirginiaTech massacre is now the largest.

I agree, only substitute 'evangelicals' for 'Conservatives' and add the words "fringe" before it and "recruitment" after Christian.

Not that any of those can step to the Bath disaster, here in Michigan in the '20s. Friggin' Kehoe killed fortysomething people, and took himself out with a shotgun blast to a pile of explosives in his car. Slaughtered like five other people in that blast too. Not to mention that not all of his explosives detonated, so we could be looking at hundreds of casualties. Same thing if the Columbine shooting hadn't been botched (propane bombs in the cafeteria not going off because Eric was too stupid to wire them right).

Yeah it would have destroyed the pillars or something, bringing the upper floors above the library crashing down, killing anyone above and below. Ninjaboy or whatever his name is said that the Virginia Tech shooting didn't outdo Columbine, but he didn't explain why. If anything it's the plan of the propane bombs. Originally, Harris and Klebold weren't even planning for it to be a shooting; they were going to blow up the cafeteria and then shoot anyone who tried to run away. Even in Eric's diary he talked about bombs; guns were an afterthought. But what happened was that the bombs were wired to go off in the PM rather than AM (or whatever the times were; I haven't read the Columbine Report in a while). So, stymied, they just charged the school.

Klebold even shot one of the propane bombs and it didn't go off. Sucks to be them.

In a Video game Documentry I saw on the Discovery channel called I-Videogame. They talked about the shooting and said that the police found a copy of Doom in both their houses and the police took them as evidence... I larfed.

I am but 1 person. What can 1 person achieve? I am going to find out.
