although im sure it will be derided because its from wikipedia several articles on apocryphal texts as relating to the bible. often left out because they disagree with the church's point of view.

Christian Apologetics is not exactly the most unbiased source, at all. I wouldn't be making claims of unreliability when all of your information comes from the same site with an obvious agenda. On top of this, I really didn't see where anyone on that site got any of their information. So to call it evidence is quite a stretch.

At the bottom of his pages he sites evidence and where he got them from. I just use it because he has arguments pre-made.

First off, a lot of those quotes are probably taken out of context or mis interpreted.

BUT, I'm too lazy at the moment to look all of them up.

So I'll just give you a reason for gods harshness in the bible.

The reason god is the way he is in the old testament is because it was for the Jews, back then. It was made for that culture so he could bring up the messiah Jesus Christ. They did fine with it.

He doesn't? Like when.

By the way it's "thou shall not murder" not "thou shall not kill"

Murder is killing without a cause.

The old testament god was the demiurge, a terrible evil creator who enslaved our FREE souls to these earthly shackles. The new testament God will FREE us, with his son Jesus sent to us to bring us Gnosis.

....God...wasn't...evil

You misinterpret evil with harshness. Yes, god was more harsh to the Jews. But you can also find many cases of god being loving in the OT.

You still haven't answered my Jesustroll theory.

There is no evidence for the Jesustroll theory.

Sure there is.

You draw a feasible, but unprovable conclusion (the existence of the Christian God) from a comparatively small, albeit related, amount of evidence.

I drew a feasible, but unprovable conclusion (Jesustroll) from the exact same small, albeit related, amount of evidence.

Anything that debunks my theory also debunks yours.

so if a man kills his daughter for committing sodomy( ex sodom and gamora) he is harsh not evil. i do believe murder(even with a "cause") is still grounds for being called evil

Argh, in order to understand my position, you need to understand ancient Jews. Believe it or not you can't compare then to now.

Ignorant people who have never once taken a religious class think that all of the Books of the Old Testament are real pieces of history. Most of the books are just analogies that we are supposed to learn lessons from. If you don't know or realize that then that just shows you have no idea what you are talking about in the first place.
