Yeah, they do.

Debates, IMO, are supposed to be interesting, Finding out if your fat and you take up two seats on a plane so you have to pay double is not interesting. In fact that is more like a stupid question, rather than a debate.

In the past, some of the most hotly "debated" topics in the world have found their place here. That fat debate is, indeed, terrible. But next time, post this IN that thread, and don't create a new thread to make a gross generalization that "these debates suck."

Then don't post. The thread you mentioned does indeed suck, but unless you have no interest in intellectual activity, Creationism vs. Evolution, Christmas Spirit lossage, and the Big Bang theory debates don't suck.

Seriously though, all the posts above basically ring out "if you don't like it, go away."
Some of the threads here (in attempts to be funny) are pretty stupid, though.
