How about Large mouth Bass, and Striped Bass?
Or The White Tail fox, and a Red tail fox?
Or different breeds of horses?

*Theory* There was one type of Bass, these bass swam along doing normal 5 minute memory span things for a few thousand years, then a natural disaster came (hurricane, meteor earthquake, etc...) And some of the bass were isolated from the other bass, by the natural disaster, and instead of being in there normal home they were suddenly some where new. The water here was different and hard for them to breathe in, but they began mating and having offspring as usual (Fish have needs too!) Over a few hundred years of offspring the fish started to adapt to there environment. They got a respiratory system more useful to them in there new territory, and developed a larger mouth for catching more elusive, or bigger prey.

If you read Beamers post you would realize that Animals are being used as an example to better explain Human evolution, to you.

Well, the question was human, humans are different then any other species and cannot be compared.

Humans, and primates are not all that different, for one thing, and for another evolution affects every organism the same.

*example* Say their was this tribe of cave men, and they all lived in the england area, they were all mainly fair skinned, and went about doing cave men things. (remember cave men have needs to!) Then one day these cave men get the idea to ride a boat, and they ride this boat, and end up in Africa, well the sun is much hotter there, and they spend everyday in agony, until there skin begins to adapt, then generations later, all the children are coming out dark skinned to combat the heat.

No we are not all that differen't. We evolved on this earth the same way the other animals did. Mother nature thought that intelligence was the best way for us to survive in the wild. Thats why we aren't furry, or have fangs and that kind of stuff.

Wrong, animals adapt to the enviroment. Humans adapt the enviroment.

Same thing, on a modern basis, we change the enviroment.

By the way, I am talking on a 21st century basis.

Re: [Eircom] Will humans ever biologically evolve? [In reply to] Can't Post

It does not matter what basis you are talking about, and even if we are creating our environment, we are still adapting to it.

*example* If our air slowly over the next 10k years gets thinner our lungs will adapt to breathe the thinner air, this can be proved by going to different sea levels. People train for triathlons, and etc at a high altitude, because it is harder for them to breathe there, when they have adapted to breathing there, those adaptations make them more useful at a lower altitude. The ability for the triathlete to begin to breathe the air easily is adaptation, and it means his lungs, "evolved" to better suit his environment.

If you don't get it now you are hopeless, and if you are so set in your ways, why ask the question?

dood god made us the way we are and evolution doesnt exist its just a way for atheists to lower peopls beliefs in god so that they can win something that we arent exactly sure about but anyways no i dont think humans will evolve since evolution is clearly wrong to begin with

Humans don't want to admit there to being a higher power, because we like to think we are the most powerful things alive. So we research facts for years and make therys that still cannot explain well enough why there is not god, or why evolution is real.

No we do not. Climate change is bad for us, no way in hell is that adapting. Plus we are doing it too fast to be adapting. Adaptation takes longer than a century. Which is how long the environment has been changing since we got here. He do not adapt the environment, we pollute it. Theres a difference.

We're done evolving. Anything our DNA does at this point is going to be artificial. I'm voting on nanites - those would rule. I'd get a cut, and a bunch of nanites would like zergrush to fix it.

Actually there's one noticeable thing about evolution in the past 200 or so years.
If anyone has ever been to that wax museum with all of the first ladies, you can definitely see a trend in the heights of the women there.

No, I'm talking about in recent history. Some say we probably didn't even evolve from apes, just a separate branch off of the same species.

Yeah but if we branched off of apes, we had to be apes at one point before that. Either that or an Apelike creature branched twice into apes and us.
