Anime sucks

Last night, because I had no other choice, I was stuck watching Inuyasha. Now I know why I hate Anime. It's simple.

See, Anime comes from Japan. The Japanese are really stupid for even trying to translate names. I was watching laughing my ass off. Why you ask? Well, I'll emulate part of an anime episode, and you'll see what I mean:

"Kumororo! Rumoaskiromoro is taking the kimoniusgot shards! Stop him Norokoroyhuk!"

The reason I hate anime is because the names are unnecessary. Inuyasha would be an OK show, if they just chose some more American names..Or at least names that I can remember. You know, like:

Inuyasha=John
That one dude that has a name starting with an N=Bob Parker
And so on.

Just names that I could say "Hey, That Bob Parker guy isn't all that bad at stealing stuff." I can't even create thoughts with those messed up Japanese names."

Also characters are overdramatic. I can just imagine a character in a lunchroom "OMG! It's a chili burrito! Do you know what this means? CHEESE HAS BEEN HARVESTED ALONG WITH WHEAT/CORN FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF BEING EATEN! HOW HORRIBLE!"

Ya..

Oh, and one more thing...

All Yugioh fans should promptly recieve psycholical attention and/or commit suicide.

they aren't supposed to be realistic.

if u want anime that's even close to realistic

try Gundam Wing

or Princess Mononoke

they have no dumb humor...

Well Inu Yasha isn't the best example of anime. I liked the Animatrix. Those are some good anime.

Anime is made by the Japanese. Any anime made in America or anywhere else in the world is bull[Expletive Deleted]. You have to respect the names they give them like in Wolf's Rain: Kiba=Fang, Tsume=Claw, Hige=Whiskers, and Toboe=Howling. Many Asians like to be called beautiful or lucky like in China, they mean Ji-Li and its that simple. Americans don't want their first names to be Beautiful, Wisdom, etc. SO next time you think anime sucks because of their names, you should RESEARCH what they mean.

I hate to tell you... but Princess Mononoke is made in America...

and it is one of the best... but i was made by mostly Japanese people

it's still made for America. and wasmost likely originally made in Japanese.

maybe you're right, but isn't Princess Mononoke made by Studio Ghibli? Well, everyone has different opinions. I still think it's made for Asian audiences.

Okay, Maybe I was a little harsh. Let's just put it this way: Inuyasha is Inuyasha, changing the character names to American names is just ridiculous. Let's just put it this way: what if Sponge Bob or The Simpsons go to Japan and Japanese audiences want their names changed into Japanese just because it's easier for them to remember? That would change the heart, the soul, and the whole point of the show. That's the same with Inuyasha. You don't see people names Bobby Joe walking around in Kimonos (Japanese traditinal clothes) and carrying a samurai (Japanese worrior) sword, do you? As an American audience, how would you feel if Homer Simpson's name get's changed into Kohaku Toromero? Please embrace other cultures with open heart. Just because you are American doesn't mean you should boss other people around.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T WATCH IT! AND DON'T INSULT IT!

( I stopped insulting the Simpsons because I just realized that different people have different tastes. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean other people have to be just like you to suit your purpose )

true, terrankller... so true. Personally, I have attempted to watch anime, but I just cant figure out what the hell is happening in the show. I dont know whos who, I dont know the plot (if there even is one) so usually, I watch a show thats easier to understand... like family guy.

you say "anime sucks" as if all of it does. almost guaranteed, that if you watched Cowboy Bebop you wouldn't be saying that in that way. I'm sure you'd be a bit more specific on what you're saying "sucks"

First off, don't pretend you know a lot about something if you don't. If you had actually paid the slightest attention to the show, (which is necessary if you want to comment on it), you'd notice that Inuyasha is not a pervert. The guy who is the pervert is actually not a bad guy and on several occasions paid dearly for being perverted.

I think Inuyasha is made for Asian audience after all.

When the comic first came out, there's an interview with the author Rumiko Takahashi and she said that a wide audience is not her first priority cuz it's an all Japanese setting.

Japanese (or Chinese) audience will easily accept the concept of demons, monks, demon slayers or shrine maidens. There are a lot of cultural concept that Western audience (even those who love the show) will probably never understand but will struck a chord with Asian audiences who practically growing up listening to tales about buddhas or demons.

So American viewers, please don't insult the show. I'm sure that Asian audiences will have a hard time accepting American shows like the Simpsons.

A lot of my friends love that show. I just wish I have that channel on my TV. I kinda want to check it out...
