Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG1 or Star Trek?	Can't Post

I had great expectations for BSG, I expected tons and tons of cool dogfights and large scale space battles, but I was disappointed. I now generally see it as a Star Trek/Star Gate wannabe, but it's still pretty good because of the new style in cinematics(The realistic shaking camera and such)

As for SG1? PURE PWNAGE. One of my favorite SF series of all-time. Ever. However personally I think Atlantis sucks. It's just another wannabe spin-off... They completely lost the feel of the original SG1 despite the claims that they hadn't switched the writers...

Now for the originators... Star Trek. I rented the whole original series and I have to say, they're pure pwnage. but after TNG the whole series went down IMO. Except for maybe Enterprise, which was okay...

So I vote SG1, Star Trek and TNG.

You son of a bitch. YOU SON OF A BITCH! Do NOT rag on BSG. That beats SG1 and Atlantis by far right now.

SG1 and Atlantis tie at the moment - Atlantis promises to reveal more of the history of the Ancients, and it's got a lot of mysteries and potential in it. An abandoned Ancient city waiting to be reactivated, an entire galaxy littered with Ancient technology, and plenty of threats and allies. The Genii are a lot cooler than the FREE Jaffa Nation too.

SG1 is getting a little boring now that the Goauld have been eliminated as a major power, but hopefully it will pick up in the end of this 10th (and last) season when Jackson is made into a Prior. I will FREEly admit though that the older seasons of SG1 were the [Expletive Deleted]. If Galactica had been matched against those older seasons... hm. But as Galactica is matched against the bad Ori storyline, it falls in favor of Galactica.

Galactica SUCKS. Asides from the camera shooting thing there's little going for it. They advertise it like it's all about large-scale space battles when it's really just a Star Trek wannabe.

I still like watching it though Blush

The pilot's good. I'd say definately watch it. I didn't watch it before starting to watch the TV show, and I still understood the gist of what was going on, but if you watch the pilot you'll go "Ooh, so THAT'S why that dude was on Caprica running for his life." And other stuff like that.

Yeah, I'm kinda confused right now... But I think I kinda have it figured out.

The actress playing the girl is actually playing two parts, one human, the other Cylon. The Cylon is aboard Galactica and the real human is running for her life with the guy on Caprica. Right now I'm up to the point where she disappears and I'm dieing to know where she went.

Oh wait, don't tell me.

I just watched part one, and I have to say, it's changed my mind somewhat on my opinion.

What I really like is the fact that there are no "shields", therefore leading to realistic tactics and strategies, then there's the realistic acting, portraying how corrupt some people are "And who put YOU in charge?" "The problem is, is that he isn't the one in charge". Then there's the awesome screenwriting portraying the differences between military and political thinking "She's just a goddamned school teacher!"

Damn.

Oh, and I have to add that I love the actors, especially that hawt Injun woman.

I think I get it now. The one on Galactica is a sleeper agent. she mentioned that she stayed with Galactica from an early age, so yeah... And the one on Caprica is another model sent to infiltrate. I don't know if she's a sleeper or not... *goes off to watch episode 6 to find out*

EDIT*

Just finished watching episode 8.

I know where this is going now... Atleast I think so... I think the Cylon's(The "human" ones) are going to start wanting for human emotions and feelings. Eventually they'll fall in love or something with a human and help the humans bring the whole Cylon system down.

Oh I can't wait to see the rest of the season...

At the moment BSG is my favorite show on TV right now. I love it. I can see why this season doesn't have as much dogfights and stuff because it is getting more in detail into the story. Nevertheless, it is still a fracking awesome show.

The thing is, this is a series that could be happening right now. The earthlings are farther back than, like, the Goa'uld. They only found out about the stargate, they didn't build it. They have weapons that actually exist.

HOLY FRACK!!! I just finished watching the last fracking episode and I have to say that that took me by fracking surprise. I had the fracking volume up high to hear what they were saying and it shocked me. Then there was the second fracking bullet.

HOLY FRACK.

Damn, I need some sleep... But I think I'll go watch Episode 1 of Season 2 a little bit first!
