My questioning on the runescape forums. Can't Post

OK, this started in the "suggestions" forum, I believe? Lets consider ALL of the runescape forums:

1. Runescape makes this forum and there is no reason to say no to that. Its true. Lets face it, the majority of people here play or have played Runescape. Bolt, Loads O Fire, Jinny, TazG (Yes, he did play. BAHAHAHA), and many, MANY others. I would estimate around 80-85% of people on FGF HAVE or DO play Runescape, and that is changing, due to the fact that certain people PRESUME this is a Runescape forum. The Runescape general is probably larger, if not, fast approaching to the General.

2. On the other hand, if 80-85% play, that leaves 20-15% of people who could not give a [Expletive Deleted] what happens to it. What about that pecentage, no matter HOW small.

3. And, If we DO delete the Runescape forums, would that mean we get less people here? Less people coming in to disscus a pixelated game? Is that what FGF has become? A [Expletive Deleted]hole used only for the purpose of one addict contacting another?

4. But if we loose all the Ruescape addicts, that would leave no one left who cares about the demolition of the Runescape catagory. That equals no more fights, bans, whatever (for a little while, anywhy)

Well, yeah. What happens now? Makes you think...

Not really. 150k - 100k. And it's not as though the RS Forums were going to be deleted.

Just shrunk down.

NOT DELETE, SHRINK!

We aren't going to DELETE IT! Just shrink. And most of the RS Addicts are pretty cool.

That has not changed anything. Posting "and" in front of a paragraph is not a point, is it? Maybe you acctuly need to read ALL of what I posted, shrinking it? BAH. Public vets>New FGF layout. Check there.

Like I said before, the only people who are going to whine about the RS forum being shrunk are the idiotic traditionalists who can't get used to change. We are going to make them get used to change. There is no point in having all these RS forums when they can be condensed. Same with General; that can be condensed too. It's about efficiency, not how other people feel.

Plus its the mods to. They dont even mod the RuneScape sections and it's just becoming spam and scam all over just like RuneScape Underground.

No one wants to be a true active mod on that forum. Only veterans can be elected to moderate those forums and I doubt the majority of them would want to mod those sections.

Who would want to clean out 7 forums? If we shrink it, then it will still draw in people, but it won't be such a hassle for mods and it won't dominate FGF. Some of those forums are usless as their own forum anyway; We don't need a classic forum by itself, and have you seen the Pk'ing forum? Half the posts there are people who want their Pker rated! No one even posts in that damn sticky.

The runescape forum is in a really big mess. At the moment it sucks. I think we should get some more mods and shrink it. And we do need ACTIVE mods other than just the sloppy mods who have abbandond them.

Amen brother! On a different note, Runscape is being taken way to seriously, it is a game and it doesn't need 50% of the forum to itself (exaggeration) and needs to be shrunk to 1 or 2 links.

No they don't abandon it, they shrink it. Big difference. Besides, I don't think there are any active mods in the runescape section.

Re: [killer45116] My questioning on the runescape forums. [In reply to] Can't Post

The Runescape forums have become a big mess. But we will not delete the Runescape category in complete.

The Runescape forums have to be shrinked madly. We'll just have one forum named "Runescape". Thats all, Just Runescape.

The moderators need to be sorted out and the stickies need to be organized. I say again we really do need ACTIVE moderators. I at the moment feel that Bolt and Nadkicker should be two of the mods. There should be seven mods in total and they should all be active. Jammer is at the moment getting a super Mod who can make people Mods.

We need to shrink down the forums because so many forums are stupid. This is not a Runescape forum, it is a Gaming forum which has been flooded with Runescape stuff.

Says who? Ever since M.G. was here everyone said there would never be a Super Mod again.

If there was a Super Mod it would end up being TazG though.

Simple, add new forums, attract new types of people, you know, the types of GAMES where 70% of the people attracted by said game will know how to speak their native language.

And Edit: It's Mod CONTROLLER, someone who appoints new mods, not super-mod.

There is no "super-mod".

What is being suggested is a "moderator controller".

They will start polls for potential moderators, etc.
