Video games research project Can't Post

My name is Dr Guy Porter, a clinical researcher based in Sydney, Australia. I am part of a team of researchers headed by Dr Vladan Starcevic, Associate Professor at the Discipline of Psychological Medicine, University of Sydney.

We are investigating patterns of video game use, both online and offline. Specifically, our project aims to determine the characteristics and impact of excessive video game use.

We are looking for video game users from all backgrounds and who play all types of video GAMES to take part in an anonymous online survey.

This project is not for profit and has received ethics committee approval by The University of Sydney.

If you’d like to take part, please follow the link below to our website:

http://www.nepean.med.usyd.edu.au/research/psych.php
(The survey can be found at the top right corner)

Alternatively, if you would like to learn more about our research, have a look at a recent interview with me by the Australian PC magazine ‘Atomic’:

So your post was very professional, yet your name is gporter333 no capitalization and an necessary use of numerals. Basically translated that means [Expletive Deleted] YOU, mannn.

Well my forum name hasn't been a problem in other forums I've visited. In fact I've been told more often to avoid using my real name as a forum name. Seems you can't please everyone!

Some forums have bans on using your full name anywhere. In my case I have to as this is a professional research project. Those forums have allowed my post but requested me not to use my original name as a forum ID. Seems illogical I agree.

Anyway, apologies if you don't like my forum name!

Kingsfan1300 you have no room to criticize anyone about unnecessary numbers in your user name.
This dude seems legit, so the name he registered with really doesn't matter...

Today I met with A/Prof.Starcevic and the research team and it was decided that the survey will now close and data analysis will now commence. The survey has been live for over 4 months and we have a large number of participants.

Thank you very much indeed to everyone who took part!

Your responses are much appreciated, including the open text comments which we are just as important to us as the core data.
