It's not abuse - it's bad choices.

1. I mean downloadable files that require execution on a local computer (I'll change that later)
2. Otherwise there would be an influx of people posting their forums, who just came here to advertise - and I know you'd make an insulting thread when that happenedTongue

lol actually the 2 cents line was mine bout a year back when i started sayin it here... and M.G. no one wants ur two cents... Xbot is anythng but unreasonable.. he does check things out and makes his decision after hes reviewed every aspect of the post... an unreasonable person doesnt do that... my only gripe is hes to strict.. but that isnt much of a big deal since he isnt fanaticly by the books...

I'm ok with Xbot's modding abilties.

But yes, he is a tad strict at times.

And 2 cents is a commonly used expression by many people Unimpressed

But if it's another forum - an established forum - and someone just wants to share, they can. Also, I think you should look at anything being posted before banning to see if you want to approve it. If it's something you would approve of anyway, there is no reason to lock it.

Yeah, and that's what the approval process is for. I check out the links to all of the requests I get.

And maybe you don't get it - I was probably going to remove the topic, but somewhere in between locking and baleeting, I got off track.

Look, I always lock a topic before I take any other severe action (i.e. delete topic, ban user), so there are no posts in between. In case #1, I must have gotten off track to something else before I could remove it (i.e. the need for coke arrived, so I went off to drink some coke, went back, and did something else instead of finishing said process.

I don't think you understand.
I'm saying, that thread in particular required NO "severe action". You didn't need to delete the topic, you didn't need to ban a user, and you didn't need to lock it.

Xbot, you lock to many threads. Sometimes, its good to let people argue, just to get it out of their system. There is no need to lock every thread that has a little scuffle in it.

No, but that is M.G., and I don't appreciate him, of all people, accusing others of being "unreasonable".

I have 2 cents for you all... but I'd rather hoard it for myself.

Xbot is extremely unreasonable obviously. He, by far, doesn't lock enough posts. If he had any reasonable qualities in him, he'd lock many more topics in this disgraceful forum of sickly generality.

Personally, I think Xbot should be banned for this. And his mum too! Mad

No. It's an overreaction. And for many of those, I said that some posts which caused the thread to look "dangerous" should have been deleted. You don't need to lock the whole thread.
All this locking does more damage than good.
