Because the digital tach's an speedo's cost too much to put on the cars for the era. So once again, another mistake of the 80's.

No it means that it was making all of the motor company's like GM lose a lot of money because for that time era, the digital's were too expensive to apply to the cars. 1980's cars were designed for the economy because of all the things going on at the time, like bad financial problems. Digital Tach's/Speedo's didn't help. I preffer the normal tach's/speedo's anyways, they're more accurate. The 80's DEFINATLEY was NOT a good era, ESPECIALLY for vehicles, the body styles were horrible (except on a very select few cars). Now if you really, really want an old japanese car, Fairlady 2000, and strap a 302 in it.

I have a 1981 datsun 210 deluxe model parked in my garage right now, it has the old fashion dash ,but the problem is the dash has a short in the lighting so you cant see at night and the tail ights wont come on when you turn the lights on, everything else on the car works fine except the dash lights and tail lights. it has alot of rust on the bottom of the exterior door panels and the other bottom panels outside of car, its a nice car its a light blue color and a light blue interior, it a really nice car, I detailed most of the interior I used upholstery cleaner on the carpet so the carpet looks new, i took the inside panels off and cleaned them good also, i cleaned the seats, i used windex on all the inside windows so they are clear as they are when they were brand new, the interior has some sum damage on the dash it has alot of cracks and has chucks missing since the foam beneath the plastic dissappeared and the plastic also is gone, I would look for a junk jard with a blue dash to match the interior, my dad had the car before me and drove it less than 2 years ago, he took the old am/fm radio out and threw it away and had to cut the dash to put a old fashion shaft am/fm cassette in , but i want to buy another datsun dash board and radio to restore the car. the car has a blue tint on the windows that came with the car when it was made. i also washed the outside of the car on the spots where there was no rust on the spots where there was dirt, this car came with alot of features like a removable sun roof, two ash trays in the panels in the back seats, a cargo light, back window defroster,4 speed automatic transmission, 4 cylinder engine. i might move from colorado where i live to my nana's house in california. if i do i want to be able to drive this car there but it needs a tune up and transmission oil. if i get it running and its able to make it over the mountains ill be driving in the california sun with thhe sun roof off!

I told myself, I wouldn't participate in you utterly stupid 'debate', but that post is just absolutely "Ugh". You can't compare a Nissan Sunny to an american sports car (What is it even? A Firebird, a vette?). If you want to compare something american to the Sunny, try, like, an old rusted Ford Escort or something, they're at least in the same class. If you want something to compare to that sports car of yours, rather try something like this:

And then there was silence.
