We lived in Texas. Once when I was on vactation with my family my turtle managed to get out because this plastic thing we were keeping him tipped over and he got out under the garage door. Then a while later I was looking at the paper and I saw a picture of a little boy holding a turtle and I looked at the caption and it said a turtle was found on the street in Oklahoma. I know it is a longshot but it seems kinda weird.

Your town must be really small if someone finding a turtle gets in the paper.
