Firefox is being a big dummy head. (don't move this thread, please) Can't Post

There was something that froze my computer yesterday, and it won't turn off until i pull the plug from the bottom. So, I go back on firefox, and everything is set back on default. Bookmarks deleted, everything. So, I put em all back on, and put on the theme I always use..then I put on the small icons on the top, y'know..these.

Now, whenever I finish putting em' on, they disappear when I close out, and I can't seem to make it stay..Has anyone had this problem before? I tried restarting my computer, and reinstall firefox, but it's not helping.

That's due to the fact that the setting haven't been saved (you pulled the plug on the machine). The machine didn't get a chance to save anything, though I can't really explain the bookmarks disappearing, unless something got corrupted (which is likely) when you pulled the plug.

Try putting your settings the way you like it, shut down Firefox, and re-open it and see what that does.

Hope that helps!

Hmmm, reading it again, maybe there's a save settings option that I'm not familiar with? What version of FF are you running and have you installed any special bells and whistles on the broswer (like plugins)?

Try reinstalling FireFox. That's my only suggestion.

Kill Firefox it's the only solution.

OK I think your profile got corrupted... and if you uninstall Firefox it may not delete your profile.

So, close Firefox, and delete this:

C:\Documents and Settings\Dunia\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Then restart Firefox and it will recreate the profile from scratch and hopefully work properly after that.

Before you do Taz's stage, go into the folder and drag out the bookmarks files and keep them on your desktop. When a new profile is created, delete the bookmark files created in C:/Documents.., and drag in your old ones in there.

Saves you having to do it again.

They exist in an alternate dimension, Taz.

I thought that was implied. Unsure
