Scheduled polls Can't Post

Hey guys. I've been tossing this around my head for a few days, and decided that it was indeed an idea worthy of asking you guys whether we should do this.

Rather then posting polls on random days, like we previously have (ie one on the 3rd, two on the 7th, one on the 8th, etc.), why not have a few scheduled monthly dates when the polls accumulated up to that time are posted?

That way, all veterans would know that on the two proposed days (the 10th and the 25th), there would be polls, and can prepare for it (ie, schedule time out of the day to make replies, and know when they end).

What do you guys think?

The two proposed days:

-The tenth of every month
-The twenty fifth of every month

Also, note that nothing else changes - polls still end in one week, people still can't apply until 21 days after the completion of their last poll, etc.

Just post 'em when you get 'em... It makes is far easier to vote and give your opinion on them when there's less than 10.

When have we ever posted them when we got them? Like one on the 2nd, one on on the 8th, you always group them together and go boom all at once.

Yeah, but he thinks that will create confusion.

Does the opposite, really.

At least, it's easier for me.

If this were implemented, I'd favour a monthly system.

So all polls are posted on the 1st of every month or something.

I considered that, but then every time I slammed a batch of polls, it'd be like 10-20 polls. Nobody, I repeat, NOBODY, wants to vote/reply on 10-20 polls. Now, on the 10th and 25th, we'd have maybe 4 or 5 each time, probably less.

As for the way I've been doing it - I've mostly been doing it when I find time. I've always got stuff to do, but I do get to post polls (can be a lengthy process, checking almost each applicant to ensure each one kinda has a chance, and to make sure that they haven't had one in the last 21 days, etc.

It'd just make it easier for veterans (and me, but I didn't want to sound like an asshole for mentioning it) if you guys just knew when polls'D be posted. Like you would have the magical powers of knowing exactly what day polls would be thereTongue.

The idea is for your convenience. I emphasize that, because it's trueWink

Ill just say that if there are more than 10, im not posting on the polls if there are that many. I would prefer to have them put out when they are sent in, because then I can think it out, check out the person, and make sure that im not makign a bad vote. You know, nominations would be teh pwn. Cuz half the people who apply suck.

Then everyone would be flooded with requests. Stick to spamming my PM box, aye?

As for that - 10 polls I believe is a rare situation. We had ~17 last time because business hadn't been done since May 26th. That's a lot of times for nubcakes to apply.

I expect that on the 10th and on the 25th we will see ~5 polls. If there are 10, we'd have 10 dotted all over the calender, and that'd be annoying, I think.

So are most of you guys good on this idea?

How about we stop arguing about this. The world was supposed to end today because of Eon8. You're lucky Jack Bauer saved the day and averted the disaster. Now get off of your computer and "Go play in the sunshine" like he posted on the cover-up letter on eon8.com. Thank god for Jack Bauer.

I dont see why that forum cant have more than one moderator, if general has 4 and runescape has its 7.

Can you explain the difference?
