Have you even logged in and looked at the home page of the FGF lately? What do you see when you read from the top to bottom, left to right? Have you ever noticed that FGF is hosting scam sites right in front of your face? Really. Have you tried to actually GO to those sites hosted in the Google ads displayed in front of you? Sounds like a waste of time, right? Then again, that's where all the scammers are getting their ideas from - well, most of 'em. Some are just plain retarded... I know, I know... "It's not like people pay attention to those, so sit down and shaddap!", but it's something to think about and kinda worries me how we're anti scam when the forums we ourselves are on are hosting scams. Don't get me wrong, they're not asking for a username and pass, but it's just as bad. Credit card numbers, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses. You're not getting scammed for a game - it's worse, it's real life. You'll be billed thanks to that fine print that's five pages deep, directed by barely visible links, you'll be mailbombed by spam servers, and even have junk mail from hell (which is kinda nice in the winter time, in which I have something to start the fireplace with =^_^=). What scares me about the ads, is that they're adaptive - they change. When you go to a thread that has anything to do with, say, removing keyloggers, what do you see in the top of the ads? Sites for keylogger removal, which is cool, but then there's more - Sites that SELL you keyloggers. FREE keyloggers. Even if you're looking in a thread with "Hack" or "Crack" or "Cheat" and "Runescape" in the same sentance, you'll find sites that claim that they have cheats for Runescape, but the problem is, it's gonna redirect you to the site that has the most words about "Cheats" and "Runescape" in it's metadata. Wanna example? Just for fun, I clicked on a Google link for Runescape Cheats and ran into a site that claims that it can give me 1 million gold provided that I enter a username and password. Needless to say, I didn't, but you get the idea... It's like our sponsors are trying to screw us... Well, anyhow, I ran out of things to say, so... Enter your two cents here!
= I am the Jester. I make the unreal real.
